MBBS degree is the most prestigious and remunerative career option in itself and it is something which is not possible for all students. But still, it is a dream career for lots of students.

 Most of the students think to get into government medical college but it is quite difficult to get the seats in government medical colleges in India. More than 15 lacs students are struggling for merely 70,300 available seats both in government and private colleges.

When a student decides to pursue a career in medical studies, the biggest confusion he/she faces that whether to go for a private medical college in India or should they go ahead with colleges/universities abroad with both options (govt & private).

Let’s make a genuine comparison between private colleges in India with overseas medical college.

1)Quality of education 

We cannot compare the quality of education abroad with any of the top private medical colleges in India. Colleges abroad are far better in quality of education, infrastructure, faculty, extensive practical training and lab facility, etc. The students are bound to have excellent facilities in abroad countries no matter where he/she goes.

2)Price factor

MBBS in India is too expensive if we talk about private medical colleges. Getting admission into private medical college costs between 65 lakhs to 1.25 crores. However, the tuition fees vary upon NEET scores. The lower your NEET scores will be cost you higher in fees.

However top colleges abroad (private & Govt) MBBS studies cost 13 to 20 lacs for complete 5/6 years.

3)Globally recognition

We cannot compare the exposure that students get overseas with students studying in India. They get global experience with new people, a new language with cultural diversity. Students studying abroad have the option to get a high paid job in developed countries; they settle there and do not want to come back to their native country due to excellent opportunities there.

4)Availability of seats

In India, students suffer to get seats in Medical colleges due To the huge population. In private college, seats fill up very fast and college cannot take any extra admission beyond the available numbers of seats. 

When we compare the available MBBS seats in abroad countries, thousands of colleges and universities are there where students can get admission easily and they can choose the country as well college as per their budget and feasibility. 

In nutshell, as per the growing trend and number of admission in overseas colleges, we found that MBBS abroad is becoming so much popular in Indian students. From 2019 onwards MCI screening test known as NEXT would be common for both students either they are studying at national college or international level.
